5/6 ⚡️With gas and electricity prices an average of 43% higher than they were in 2021, the impact on households and on rates of fuel poverty is devastating for those who can least afford it.

4/6 🏘️Making homes warmer and more energy-efficient is vital. 🗓️ However, we were told that at current pace of adaptations, it could take “until the year 2160” – a staggering 135 years – to reach all fuel-poor households in Wales.

3/6 📊Up-to-date information is essential for establishing meaningful interim targets to combat fuel poverty. ❌ Our inquiry found that these crucial targets have not been set, which hampers an effective response.

2/6 📑 According to Welsh Government statistics from 2021, at least 14% of households in Wales are experiencing fuel poverty. 💡 However, these figures don't account for recent dramatic increases in gas and electricity costs—suggesting the true extent is likely much worse.
