tbh perhaps it's also about finding the right projects that really resonate with audiences ‘cause besides 20th century girl & his character in strong woman, his previous works weren’t that particularly successful
@selsmarss
His talent or capability before may be different before as of now. Maybe he took acting training and lessons and improved it now. He’s a model in the first place because of his looks.
@badgalnaddie
i’m sure he’s gotten better over time but he majored in theatre and film during university so I don’t think it’s the case that he wasn’t good before
@selsmarss
i watched him in record of youth but idk at that time he did not stand out for me. but as time goes by, he really did stand out in 20th century girl. im sure all actors have their own era. some might be really charismatic at the start but later lost the spark
@selsmarss
Only just realizing he's the 2nd male lead in record of youth, think he really just play characters that don't outshine the leads till he hit stardom himself
@selsmarss
I believe the first choice is A-list actors then idol-actors.
The reason why many idol-actors are active right now is bcoz they are cheaper than A-list actors & are popular enough to pull fans/fandoms.
So, maybe that's how he went unnoticed which is sad bcoz he's crazy talented.
@selsmarss
How did pretty privilege not work where it should've. Throughout the world there are so many pretty actors who can't act but this talented guy couldn't get a decent role. Smh
@selsmarss
All I know is that even Jung Woo Sung was told he was too tall to become an actor so he had to turn to modelling at the beginning of his career.
