Just finished a 60-year-old book written about Eisenhower, In months before D-Day, slept 2 hours a night, drank 20+ coffees a day and chain smoked 6 packs a day. Cooked for staff and other generals during meetings as a way to make them feel at ease at tough moments. Gave 100%.

Just learned of the passing of a great baseball writer, a close friend and one of the best men I've ever met. Scott Miller will be missed by everyone who knew him as well as anyone who ever read his stories and books on the game he loved.
