Nishka raised funds to finance Soni’s university fees, living expenses and a laptop as teaching is all online still. She has been talking to Soni on Zoom regularly. Soni her hopes to become financially independent after university and decide her own fate. 2/2

Soni is an orphaned 18 yo in a remote Himalayan village, being forced to marry a man older than her grandfather. Academically bright, Soni was adopted by a foster family. She got a place in university to study botany as she wants to work to protect her beloved mountains. 1/2
