Members of the Writers Guild of Canada (@WGCtweet) have voted to authorize a strike action in their negotiations with CMPA. The SCGC stands in solidarity with WGC to secure a fair deal. The principles WGC is fighting for are vital to all creators in our industry. #StandwithWGC

The SCGC is deeply saddened by the passing of our friend, Alan Willaert, Vice President AFM (Cda). Alan was a champion for Canada’s musical performers and creators, advocating for their rights and interests. The SCGC is grateful for Alan's many years of service to our community.
