The Adoration of the Maga. A few thoughts. It all felt a step too far by Gianni Infantino. The award of the inaugural Fifa Peace Prize felt more to do with its president’s desire to please powerful politicians as much as Donald Trump’s love of such glitzy, expensive offerings of

Labour reportedly told the Environment Agency to put growth first. The Green Party has the novel idea it should focus on protecting our environment from outrageous environmental crimes.
Above the picturesque City of Oxford sits a ticking environmental timebomb. It symbolises much of what is wrong wrong with our broken environmental protections. Without anyone in authority apparently noticing or doing anything to stop them, organised waste gangsters have dumped

There wouldn't be much of a legacy in this year's Ashes if it wasn't for one man. Reece Walsh has done every media obligation asked of him, signed every autograph, taken every photo. He's the game's new global star who has taken England by storm. https://t.co/BXbgFiRRZr

There are thousands of empty properties across the UK, bought by foreign money and just sat empty as investments. If the Chancellor wants to look at taxing someone, start by taxing them.

Private rent in UK now swallows 44% of the average wage. Monthly cost jumps to record £1,385 outside London, £2,736 in the capital. Lack of social and affordable housing, no rent controls. Profiteering creating poverty/despair, stifling economic growth. https://t.co/OW1VBAunJf

It’s also a very special paper for me - a chance to collaborate again with my good mate @scosgrove123, @HOCAGroup, P. Ferreira and a heartfelt dedication to the memory of our dear colleague Iván Lavandera, who left us far too soon. Many thanks to everyone involved.

"Polanski claimed at the protest that the UK is "one of the most nature depleted countries in the world." I'm not "claiming" it. We have lost more biodiversity than any G7 country and we're ok the bottom 10% globally. It's pretty dire and the media should report it more.

Since the privatisation of water, not a single English reservoir has been built. Indeed, since privatisation 25 of them have been sold-off for shareholder profit. You couldn’t make this stuff up.
Selling off reservoirs, failing to invest, polluting our water – these aren't just acts of negligence. They undermine our national water security. In an existential crisis we might call that what it is: sabotage. In a time of national peril, sabotage has another name: treason.
