Ever wonder how forces affect nuclear transport in cells? Check out the latest paper by Nick Scott in @UTBiomedical showing that chemotherapy transport into the nucleus depends on cell mechanics.
www.science.org
Mechanical forces felt by cancer cells tune how small-molecule chemotherapy enters their nuclei.

A fun and nice collaboration with @StachowiakLab on lipid droplets (which are all over cells) serving as triggers phase for protein separation. Excellent work by our joint student Advika Kamatar. Looking forward to more exciting science together.

Congrats to Yujen Wang (not on twitter) who defended his PhD dissertation on Tuesday to such comments as "this should be the model for what we should expect from a PhD in BME". Much deserved praise and very happy for him!.

Doing science with youngsters has been a passion of mine for a long time, but seeing these students get excited about a project that means so much to me has been uniquely rewarding. Access to hands-on science early in my childhood was essential in getting to where I am today ❤️.
