A Russian mildblogger claimed that Ukrainian forces have significantly reduced the time between target identification and strikes on ๐ท๐บ targets with HIMARS rockets, warning that ๐ท๐บ forces need to move farther than 10km from the frontline in western Zaporizhia Oblast to be safeโฆ

Imagine sitting in a Russian Katyusha, MRLS, BM-21, M-210F and specifically the TOS-1A 220MM knowing the enemy has a lock on you well before you've time to get your rocks off.

Not surprised, it can be done when all elements are plugged into robust & reliable data nodes. And of course with very experienced troops.

@IuliiaMendel
This more than anything explains the slow but steady progression of the Ukrainian forces. If your battery is more than 10 miles away from the front, youโre in trouble.
@s_hnizdovskyi
He said that there should be a safe removal of 10 kilometers because there is increased activity and increased range of kamikaze drones.

Next time we complain about the military spending being too high, it's important to note that HIMARS will have saved eastern Europe from invasion by Russia. Same for Storm Shadow(s), every piece of western kit is defeating Putin's invasion. Give Ukraine more of everything.

Each HIMARS has an exact GPS target latitude/longitude programmed into it. The GPS talks to a built in inertial navigation system. They are buddies helping each other out. The target is destroyed by one of the available warhead types. Unlike Russia, Ukraine only hits mil targets
