Did you know- a common misconception about Bactrian camels is that they store water in their humps. This isn’t true, their humps actually store fat which provides them with energy when food is scarce! Camels can however use their adaptations to conserve water in other ways. ☀️🐫

It’s #WorldGiraffeWeek & we’re sticking our necks out to celebrate our planet’s tallest land mammal! DYK:. 🦒Each giraffe’s spot pattern is totally unique, like a fingerprint! .🦒Their tongues are super long (18-20 inches!) .🦒 A group of #giraffes is called a tower.

It's Tooth Time, presented by Delta Dental! 🦷 These are Westley, the Linne's two-toed sloth's teeth!. #Didyouknow - two-toed sloths have 4 canine-like premolars that are large and resemble fangs. Sloth teeth also lack enamel and grow continuously.
