The Government has announced plans for a major overhaul of England’s planning system through proposed changes to the National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF). RTPI will be holding regional roundtables from 12 – 23 January for members in England to guide its response.

On 27 October, Amendment 106 on the Chief Planner was debated in the House of Lords as part of the Planning & Infrastructure Bill’s report stage. Whilst the amendment was not pressed further, Baroness Taylor of Stevenage, gave the assurance the issue will be kept under review.
