On the topic of community, someone at work asked me “What was the best part of the @appjsconf ?”. Me: The People. Love the vibrant, actually open, open source RN community.
@steipete React Native is native but with a vibrant open source community, modern tooling, and a flexible runtime (OTA, server-driven UI). If you aren't using it, you're likely just reimplementing it.

Update: Make sure that parent component doesn't have memoization hooks like `useCallback` in place! Removing that successfully auto memoized the child components.

React Compiler enabled, but a child component still re-renders when the parent does. Wrapping it with React.memo fixes it. Is this expected ? RC was suppose to do that ?.

Tried 3 different JS based image viewer (gallery view) before. Some had performance issues, some doesn't even work on android and none of them had native experience. I then tried Galeria by @FernandoTheRojo. it's just perfect! . JS based solutions should be discouraged!.
