The thing which cuts me deepest about media coverage of the voice is the certainty that 90pc of those churning out the hateful, divisive garbage really don't give a rat's arse what happens. They'll just torpedo this then move on to their next opportunistic target. They're scum.
@rohan_connolly
Absolutely - there is a significant aspect of people using political gain out of this rather than the big picture. Both sides of the argument too
@rohan_connolly
Remember when Nigel Farage sent the UK into a world of pain with Brexit and the went, ‘Okay, toodaloo.’ This is the same kind of hoodwinkery.
@rohan_connolly
Rohan…
It’s the most divisive moment since Covid Vaccinations.
What happened to the “vote for what you want but keep it to yourself”.
People being abused for voting either side.
Whole thing is a Dumpster Fire.
@rohan_connolly
well yes because the No campaign is one entirely built on a strawman fear campaign.
I think it would be good to just recognise that for a moment.
@rohan_connolly
Why spotless it not be divisive?
Giving 3.8% of the population representation directly to parliament unfair to the 96.2% that are not afforded the same benefit!!
@rohan_connolly
We are REVEALING who we are now.
The media coverage is revealing who THEY are.
Whatever voice we are allowed to have after this referendum, will be one of the most important things I will ever experience, cos I need to know what country I was born and live in. Buckle up.
@rohan_connolly
There is some of that at the fringe. In the yes camp to. But it’s not the 55% of the electorate that the polls show are no voters. For them, the problem is the questions the govt is not answering. Not the opinion pieces, actual answers to real questions.
