@rohan_connolly First & last night GF for many decades I'd say. Tradition is important. Saw there's torrential rain in Brisbane right now & it's due to get worse. Always that risk when you play in late October in a state that experiences tropical weather. Geelong to get up in a close one.

@rohan_connolly It’s a good point - what makes grand final day different? The lead in and build up. The AFL long gave away the actual on field lead in - abandoning precursor games. This has been replaced with club functions/ breakfasts / lunches / longest kick to form a new tradition.

@rohan_connolly I am bored!!! I long for the days of Nth Melb GF Breakfast, Under19s GF, Reserves GF and then the big game. And don’t forget the Marathon the night before.

@rohan_connolly The AFL need to remember nearly every member stayed with their club this year and didn't ask for $$ back. This loyalty should not be taken for granted when the GF comes around next year.
