Pretty bloody tired of this country's apathy. My stomach turns when hearing that phrase "quiet Australians". And I wonder for how many people it's simply a euphemism for "selfish c---s". You get the sort of leadership you deserve. And the lack of it now is a reflection on us all.

You do realise this sort of constant outrage about everything contributes to why these ppl get elected. Ppl get sick of having it rammed down their throat and being told what to think that they vote against the 'noise' rather than really thinking about the issues.

Yeah I get it, it's the 21st century version of Howard's "comfortable and relaxed". And for 25 years now it's kept us treading water and becoming more selfish.

Used to it now. People hate having to think about anything which isn't "fun" or doesn't benefit them in some way. And resent anyone who does care. Fuck 'em, they're just as culpable.
