This video of Einstürzende Neubauten from February 1984 remains one of my favourite live performances ever. I used to watch it on a VHS tape at the time and it retains that warped character to this day.

I saw them at the Hacienda in Manchester in (I think) 1985 when they tried to destroy the stage with power tools and got a lifetime ban. Good times!

I took the notion to listen to Five on the Open-Ended Richter Scale the other day. Must have been to do with all the Some Bizarre talk. Made a note to watch their Halber Mensch film.
