This an example of why over next 30 years the diversity of the competition across Europe will just get narrower. It needs to be stopped otherwise it’ll be the same teams winning everything forever, but that’s what they want. Leicester winning the league was bad for business.

Football is finished… Today’s Wembley result means since the PL began Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Man C or Man U will have won 28/30 PL titles and 26/30 FA Cups. It’s fucking boring.

By way of comparison, the previous 30 years before Prem: FL: 10 winners (14 if we go back another four years). FA Cup: 15. 19 clubs won either league or cup (10 in last 30). Add FLC: 1963-92: 29 trophy winners. 1993-2022: 15 trophy winners.

@robbietaylor_86 To emphasise it the only way clubs can compete with Liverpool arsenal and United is to be bought by oligarchs and nation states. Globalisation has killed community football. The super league may as well happen with this direction of travel.

@robbietaylor_86 It's all set up for the big teams now. CL is boring. You can pretty much guarantee the last 8 will come from the same 12 teams. The only reason UEFA kibosh the ESL is because it wasn't their idea but been direction of travel for a while now.

@robbietaylor_86 That, sadly, reflects society where power and wealth is becoming increasingly concentrated in the hands of the few.
