what happened to wealthy patrons deciding they liked an artist enough to buy them a house and pay their expenses? how do we bring this back? yes bring me on to your staff. pay my expenses and give me a little cushion and some snacks and I can make you so many gay little drawings
@ rich people forget N F Ts, the REAL indicator of status is having an artist who lives in the upstairs of your carriage house that you can summon at any time to draw as many icons as you want

@eglads
I would love to be financed and housed by some rich person that said βYes, D.J. draw those cute fat boys for me for the rest of your life.β The dream.
@rfarrowster
You just have to remember to smile when they ask you to meet their friends, then go back to your art, maybe even working together with another artist you convinced your patron to pick up based on potential. Would honestly be all for this if I had money or enough talent. Lol
@rfarrowster
But if money donβt exist anymore then we wouldnβt need anyone to pay us. If capitalism does not exist we can just build our own small house and live in a small self sufficiency community, where we can draw as much as we want, but also provide all our needs
@rfarrowster
Literally my fantasy is to get rich rich RICH and then fund whatever projects my art friends wanna do no strings attached like pop off besties
@rfarrowster
If I had money Iβd have an artist that I just pay a monthly salary towards and they can take months or years to complete a painting. Idc. Iβd be popping in like βHow does it look?? Itβs mud! Cool! Iβll check back in in three months!β

Everyone is poor now. Even people who considered were well off are concerned about being able to eat decently and keep a roof over their head :(
