okay honestly rover is also probably a terminal / artificial system that’s why nobody can read into their fate or look into their memories or sense anything from them but that’s too complicated to think about

it talks to him but he can’t sense what it wants (just like how he can’t sense rover’s either) but soon he will become very fond of them bc they are helpful & their presence is calming rather than dissonant energy that radiates from real people
