House Republicans: We passed a clean continuing resolution to keep the government open and continue negotiating with our Democrat colleagues on year long appropriations. Democrats: We demand $1.5 TRILLION in SPENDING to keep the government open. Seriously?

Civics 101: It takes 60 votes in the Senate to invoke cloture and end debate. There are only 53 Members of @SenateGOP, meaning some Democrats must compromise and support advancing the @HouseGOP’s non-partisan funding bill. Democrats know this. They own this shutdown.

Nobody wins in a shutdown. Democrats' political games have cost Pennsylvania over $523 MILLION in just ONE WEEK. Democrats: reopen the government now.
