We're only a year into Trump 2.0, but he’s wasted no time torching our public lands and resources and the communities that cherish them. From massive cuts to sell-offs for billionaires to destructive policies, Trump has shown no signs of letting up.
Our national parks. Our public lands. Our coastlines. Our clean air and water. Our clean energy future. A year into Trump's second term and this corrupt Republican Congress, all of it is under attack, all so billionaires and Big Oil can get even richer.

I'm thrilled my team and I secured community project funding for the Trinity Public Utilities District’s new Sno-cat. Keeping our power on during harsh winter weather conditions is critical, and this new machine will make that much easier.

This week on #TheFlipSide, the House has been completely turned upside down because Republicans would rather strip hard-working Americans’ wages and rights than address this cost-of-living crisis. But us reasonable adults in Congress aren’t standing for it.

Trump is endangering Americans for the sake of polluters. These standards exist for a reason. Refusing to consider the health impacts of some of the deadliest pollutants when setting emission standards will cost thousands of lives. https://t.co/k8EaTOyrB1

The EPA weakened emissions standards for new power plants and said it would no longer consider the economic impacts of public health in rule making.

Trump's denialist policies are completely derailing progress. Climate change is not a hoax or political agenda. It's a science-backed crisis that threatens our environment, future generations, and everything in between – and I’m going to keep working to stop it.

The president’s embrace of fossil fuels and withdrawal from the global fight against climate change will make it hard to keep warming at safe levels, scientists said.

Thanks to Trump's extreme policies and tariffs, inflation has become a runaway train, and there are no signs it's slowing down. From groceries to housing, the affordability crisis is out of control, and Republicans are pushing bills to make things even harder. Americans deserve

Trump just made the biggest economic self-sabotage in U.S. history. American workers and families deserve a livable planet and the good-paying jobs that come with climate action, not a president who sells out their future to billionaire polluters. https://t.co/nVczTbsfzl

The U.S. provides much of the scientific heft addressing the problem.

After months of fighting Trump and Speaker Johnson, House Democrats succeeded in passing a bill to lower costs for millions of Americans whose premiums are skyrocketing. This is HUGE. Now, the Senate just needs to finish the job.
Living in America is already expensive enough, and people like my constituent Corrie cannot afford higher health care premiums. House Democrats have been fighting for months to save the Affordable Care Act tax credits, and today we're finally voting to make that happen.

House Republicans finally finished turning the U.S. Congress into the American Duma. Two bills passed unanimously — every Republican voted yes — and today, they killed their own bills because Trump threw a tantrum. Doormats. Every single one of them. @RepHuffman on the floor 👇

Businesses, homes, and roads in our district were completely inundated by the latest floods. Earlier this week, I visited some of the hardest hit sites in San Rafael and up Highway 101 to see the damage up close. We’re in this together, and I’ll keep working with local officials

It's an honor and a privilege to represent the North Coast in Congress. 2026 is already off to the races – but I’d like to share a look back at what we accomplished last year. Check out our 2025 wrap-up here:

It's been a year since wildfires devastated Los Angeles. I've seen firsthand how these disasters ravage our communities and how important federal support is as we rebuild. We need to invest in preventing and minimizing wildfires – not denying climate change and defunding
A year ago today, two fires tore across opposite ends of Los Angeles County. Thousands of homes were reduced to rubble, with rebuilding slow, and the death toll showed how a wildfire under extreme weather conditions can turn catastrophic. Read more: https://t.co/L7FJ6JnX7U

Five years ago, Trump incited a violent insurrection on our Capitol and on our democracy. Law enforcement bravely fought them off, and multiple officers lost their lives. But since then, Republicans have whitewashed what happened, and Trump even pardoned the violent rioters. I

This is incredibly shocking and sad. Doug and I served together for almost two decades in Congress and the State Assembly and were able to accomplish a lot for Northern CA. Although we had profound differences, I always admired his dedication to his family and community. I
House Republicans mourn the loss of Congressman Doug LaMalfa. A lifelong resident of Northern California and a fourth-generation rice farmer, Congressman LaMalfa spent more than two decades in public service. He proudly represented California’s 1st Congressional District from

What if you couldn't stop a pipeline, even after proving it would poison your water? Republicans named this bill the "SPEED Act" and they are absolutely counting on you not reading it. Here's what they’re not telling you (a 🧵)

House Republicans used their final day to pass handouts to Big Oil, foreign mining companies, and the NRA. Everyone else? A lump of coal.
