A mangalsutra doesnt prevent sexual assault, abuse, harassment. There is no layer of safety ever for women in this society. From birth to being a dead body - bodies are raped in morgues. And a newborn baby is raped as well.
@vedivediga @Chinmayi This is a personal choice, @23_rahulr anna, and we respect that. But in today’s world, a visible sign of marriage can add an extra layer of safety for women. It’s not about unfairness.. it’s about protection in a society that’s still not fully safe.
