@rbisrb I did not come across that but I do remember the 70's. I came off a bicycle and lost a lot of skin. Treatment was limited to my mother sticking me in a bath filled with salted water. 😏

@rbisrb My mother was a nurse and got prescriptions for this to treat just about everything. Only later did I learn she was giving me opium.🤷‍♂️

@rbisrb Yes. I remember having to report to the primary school nurse for abrasions caused from the violence of the predominantly older White child population there. They were extremely violent. My mum was forced to intervene. At least my wounds were treated. I was one of eight non-White.
