2 R IRISH recently returned from Exercise NORTHERN STRIKE 25(2), training with NATO allies including the US Marine Corp Battlegroup and @MINationalGuard. Using American platforms like the Black Hawk, the battalion demonstrated its interoperability, lethality, and survivability.

When the General speaks, everyone listens. 1st Bn @RIrishRegiment open fire during their Machine Gun Platoon cadre on Salisbury Plain. The training qualified soldiers to operate the 7.62mm GPMG - dubbed 'the General' - and the 12.7mm HMG as fire support weapons.

13 #IRISHRANGERS graduated from AFC Harrogate today - a major step on their journey to becoming infantry soldiers. In September, they move to ITC Catterick to join Anzio Company for 14 weeks of intensive training, before joining 1 R IRISH in time for Christmas.
