On the occasion of St. Patrick’s Day, The Royal Irish Regiment presented their Colonel-in-Chief, Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Edinburgh, with shamrock at Bagshot Park.

The Colonel of The Regiment visited 1 R IRISH on Tuesday to present operational medals for recent deployments, as well as commendations and Long Service and Good Conduct (LSGC) medals.

A Company 1 R IRISH has handed over operational responsibility for Op SHADER to 2 RIFLES, marking the conclusion of a successful tour. Faugh a Ballagh.

2 R IRISH recently returned from Exercise NORTHERN STRIKE 25(2), training with NATO allies including the US Marine Corp Battlegroup and @MINationalGuard. Using American platforms like the Black Hawk, the battalion demonstrated its interoperability, lethality, and survivability.

Congratulations to JUO Tallulah Toms and OCdt Rory McGuigan who were joined by the Deputy Colonel of the Regiment and their families at today’s Sovereign’s Parade. They will commission into the Regiment at midnight tonight.

A Company 1 R IRISH have been conducting CASEVAC training alongside partner force TASKFORCE DUSTOFF during Operation SHADER 20. This vital training ensures they can extract casualties even when a suitable helicopter landing zone (HLZ) is unavailable.

Brigadier Ed Cartwright CBE was recently welcomed to Clive Barracks by 1 R IRISH on his first visit as Commander of @16AirAssltBCT During his visit, he engaged with the Rangers and gained a deeper understanding of the tactical mobility that 1 R IRISH brings to the Brigade.
