great to see this out into the world -- and thanks to the @AvHStiftung funding which made it possible. I learned a lot doing this. particularly the subtleties about what systems we might (or might not!) consider a bona-fide time crystal.

i just hope that with the formation of the new @Researchirel this will come with a renewed look at underfunding of research in Ireland (at 0.2% GDP the country will struggle to be internationally competitive) .

i am sad that I'm missing #QTD2024 this year, but I had a good reason. the last few months i've been back in Berlin on stint #2 of my @AvHStiftung fellowship w/@jenseisert & I've taken full advantage to experience all aspects of German culture!(& doing some fun science obvs!)

while I doubt we'll abandon writing grant proposals anytime soon, I don't think the results of this study will come as a massive shocker to many.

I had a cracking time last night getting out of @ucddublin and heading to the pub for #PintOfQuantum to have a go at explaining the u̶n̶c̶e̶r̶t̶a̶i̶n̶t̶y̶ (indeterminacy!!) principles while not so elegantly sidestepping questions about interpretations of quantum mechanics!.
