The media council protem committee did give feedback to the code of conduct by Jabatan Penerangan. Nevertheless, any endorsement can only be by the media council once properly formed.

The current draft Media Council bill empowers the council to draft its own code of conduct and enforce it accordingly. The Info Dept remains the authority issuing media passes. We hope this clarifies.
