On the occasion of World Cancer Day 4th February CME was organized in Patna Medical College with a vision of raising awareness about this deadly disease, encouraging its prevention, and mobilizing action to address the cancer epidemic. The speakers were myself from gynec oncology.

(patient's husband's brother) told that she doesn’t even have children and the husband doesn’t do any work hence getting her treated was not worthy. Despite all the counselling over many days they took the patient home against medical advice.

they decided not to take any treatment as the funds would only cover surgery. Further treatment would need more money which they didn't want to arrange. They were told that she would get more funds if needed later on. And finally the guardian of the family.

without donation. Then they needed time to get a female relative for taking care of patient during perioperative period. They were informed that the hospital staff would provide all the help needed and a female relative was not mandatory. After all the arrangements were made.

funds and fund was sanctioned within 15 days. Patient was admitted in ward. Relatives were told to arrange 1 unit blood before surgery. They started refusing for surgery as they didn’t want to donate blood. To solve their problem blood was made available from blood bank.
