In tried & tested fashion I celebrated publication day with a medical appointment - nothing dramatic, just the chronic illness maintenance that goes on all the time - my B12 injection, and my belated flu jab. #TheChronicLife #DW250 #DisabilityHistoryMonth

I'm not going to sugar-coat things, there is a lot of pain in this book & a lot of 'serious derangement of the bowels' as DW put it, but also a lot of beauty & joy. There are pet robins. There is aurora borealis at Christmas. There are 'misty mizzling bird chaunting morning[s]'.
