Another observation regarding the Gainesville vs. GHSA situation…as a coach imagine being in a district so committed to “winning” and “supporting” their coaches and players that they are willing to sue the state governing body over known rules that they in fact broke 🤯

Want to be clear on this: Gainesville is right to do everything they possibly can to fight for their players and the team. That being said, the GHSA now effectively has no standing to try to prevent or discipline fighting in any way moving forward. Players that actively left

Gainesville football opened a door that can’t be closed. Everybody gets to leave the bench now. Just take it to your district court judge and you are straight. So Brunswick should do the same thing and be able to get their post-season ban turned right??

Hold up! Does the @OfficialGHSA really want to set the precedent that it's okay to "defend yourself" in these situations. We coach our players not to "hit back" in these scenarios. Now we're going to argue "justification" of every ejection due to retaliation.

There has to be a standard and you cannot loosely apply it in some cases and not others. You win and lose as a team, a program. You also represent as a team and program. And when you don’t do that well there are consequences, as there should be. Good for GHSA.

As a Dad with kids that competed in sports and somebody who has been a coach, referee and supporter in the stands, I can 100% say I’d support forfeiting the opportunity to move any further after that representation of your school and community, which is an honor not to be abused!

To be somebody in administration, he really missed the mark with this statement. Speak for yourself. The actions and behavior Gainesville CHOSE in response to what happened on the field is absolutely NOT how all TRUE teams would respond or behave.
