Update: While handful of remaining entries awaits evaluation, I did an update of the 32 core / 64 threads leaderboard for the 25 top contenders.

Standout observation: some of the best performing submissions do not use Unsafe
Many of the best approaches use preview feats (e.g. Vector API), but we'll see those appearing in the wild soon
TL;DR: great performance uplifts are becoming available without losing memory safety

But these are hand-optimised solutions. Java is fast for all the advantages it gives us :)
