Long slow zig zag of England's north. Keeping having to hide vintage British Rail jacket I'm supposed to be rocking. Hoping to get to venue before 10. May have to miss Jorvik Viking Centre .

Wakefield. Should have been in Glasgow an hour ago. Flat tire. Left Cambridge 9.13. Left Euston 11.30. Paramedics called. Train terminated at Preston due to cracked rail. No trains to Scotland. Confusion. Head east. Buckfast man sits on my seat with me in it. violent threats.

I spoke to two dozen BBC journalists, from frontline reporters to senior staff, about how the BBC came to symbolise the West's failure to prevent genocide in Gaza - and how the row over its coverage fed directly into the current meltdown. https://t.co/5J6EnMkJYs

Memory After Memory: are you born a plagiarist? —– how many lies have you been spreading? —– faking illness, forging signatures, stealing anecdotes —– it’s all down hill that way… —– and now you’re repeating yourself...

Meet the founder of the "grassroots" flag campaign in #York, Flag Force UK, Joseph Moulton. GB "News" gave him a softball interview, introducing him as a regular guy and a concerned patriot, concealing from their gullible manipulated viewers what I consider salient context. 🏴 🇬🇧
There is little about Moulton online, so I checked LinkedIn. Matching his profile photo with his GB "News" appearance (note gold cross), his profile reveals a career not in local community organising, but in defence consultancy, commodities, and international business strategy.

There should have been a Don't Know option in the Brexit referendum
1 year on from the 2024 general election, Britons are split on whether it would have been better if Rishi Sunak and the Tories had won instead Better if Sunak/Tories won: 33% Better that Starmer/Labour won: 33% Don't know: 33%

I wonder if Dave, with his long and very particular political history, imagined he’d end up on the radio having to strongly argue that starving Palestinians should be allowed food, water and medicine with someone who simply denies they are starving and says that is terrorist lies

You occasionally hear that establishment British journalists are evading the truth of Gaza ‘for Israel’. Wrong imo. For them, this is about Britain, ‘the west’ and a certain idea of transatlantic liberalism. It’s also about their own class origins and proximity to power. 1/

Today, I launch the next stage of my PhD research into rave culture in #EastAnglia (that’s #Cambridgeshire, #Norfolk and #Suffolk) between 1989 and 2019. I’m looking for former and current ravers who partied in the region to fill in a quick online survey about their experiences
