Picnic means eating on the ground. The word in Chinese is野餐, or “savage meal”. Imagine a Chinese guy taking a girl on a date, “today, we’re eating egg sandwiches on the grass like them savages. But tomorrow, we’re eating chicken feet indoor like normal people”
