In between 2019 and 2020, I freelanced for various tech startups. Between 6-8 months total each time. This was awesome because I had full control over my income.

Sharing this because being underpaid, and then finding out later is the worst feeling. In my last company I found out how much my peers were making and I spoke up to leadership. They raised salaries after I resigned.

Seriously! Also, seeing how various companies operated, different leadership styles, processes, cultures, etc. also helped me understand the type of company and people I want to work for long term.
