The Ten Year Plan included training for Doctors @wesstreeting has included training places in the negotiations over pay He has decided to ‘deny training and progression’ This is bullying in the workplace in every definition

The BMA seems surprised that if they reject the deal on offer and go on strike their members don’t get what the Government is offering. We have time before Easter weekend to resolve this dispute. A deal on jobs and pay is on the table. @Keir_Starmer 👇🏻 https://t.co/GczbMXdePw

When @Keir_Starmer needed headlines, he backed doctors. Now he’s in power, he’s attacking them for asking for the pay he once demanded the government negotiate on. People notice @wesstreeting.

Just no way to manage the morale and motivation of resident doctors to stay in training and continue to work in an under resourced and increasingly chaotic NHS. Extra training posts aren’t a gift to doctors, they’re a workforce necessity.

How does this help the health of people in the UK? Our junior doctors need to be employed and trained to reach the higher levels.

If you look at him merely as a US president, his actions make no sense. If you look at him as an inept madman, and a Russian asset under Kremlin control, everything makes perfect sense. Bring maximum chaos and damage on the western world. That's what he was installed to do.

If you choose to become a Dr in the NHS (or any HCP) know that 1. You will need a therapist 2. You will be treated as cannon fodder in the event of a health crisis. 3. That no one in authority has your back even though you make really tough decisions - life changing ones It

Starmer: Call off the strike or we axe 4,500 new NHS doctor training posts. 👀 Think about that. The government can create thousands more specialist doctors to tackle the 7 million waiting list - or take them away on a whim. ✂️ This proves the NHS crisis isn't about “no

This is absurd. If we need 4,000 training places we should have them. If we don’t, the Prime Minister shouldn’t be offering them as a bribe paid for by the taxpayer.

2 things: 1. Nobody can trust a word they say. 2. If this is true why have they changed the wording used to allow them to award a CCT to a person they deem is appropriately trained, and not a registered medical practitioner?

Not a single good thing has happened under Trump. Not one. He will leave us with no jobs, a crashed economy, staggering deficit, skyrocketing food, gas, and healthcare costs, many new wars, our best weapons depleted, many soldiers killed and maimed, zero respect in the world,

The disconnect between what people expect and the reality of what we can deliver is huge. Posts about GPs ‘refusing’ to prescribe & monitor specialist-initiated drugs, and other posts complaining it takes too long to get an appointment. If we weren’t doing so much of the former,

The Labour Prime Minister @Keir_Starmer and Health Secretary @wesstreeting are now talking about cutting the number of offered NHS doctor speciality training jobs, and this should concern the public, not just doctors. Doctors don’t become Consultants, GPs or Surgeons straight

The NHS is set to miss key targets on A&E waits, cancer care & planned treatment. Again. Behind these targets, is a real patient waiting in pain, fear or uncertainty. Patients can't wait - we need action now! https://t.co/PPbsE37N4i

The threats my @Keir_Starmer to withdraw training places looks like a very big misstep. - Firstly it harms the public. - Secondly you are threatening a group who have seen their terms and conditions attacked daily by their employer. This is just another Tuesday for them.

I've given my head a wobble, but I'm still not understanding this: The NHS bosses think staff sickness is a problem... so instead of trying to reduce infection... they're telling the staff to come in sick?

@wesstreeting @Keir_Starmer All of the medical profession are absolute shocked at your threat to stop training posts if resident Drs don't give in. How else will the NHS get the trained doctors it needs in future.? I worked in the NHS for 40yrs but never thought a Labour Govt would be so vindictive.

The NHS’s solution to rising sick leave? Threaten staff to come in sick anyway, or face losing jobs. Not only is this completely counterproductive - contagious staff will spread it to other staff and the cycle continues - but also to vulnerable patients! Pure negligence. 😡

When Starmer was in opposition, all he ever spoke about was the NHS, and how his mum, sister and wife worked for it. He spoke about how grateful they, and he, were for the care his parents received when they were ill. He said the NHS would be safe with him. He lied.
