Religion, Philosophy & Ethics students recently attended the South Asia Gallery & an exhibition on Ancient Egypt at @McrMuseum They then attended lectures at The University of Manchester on feminist theology as well as the interplay between religion & science.

On Friday, Year 12 and 13 Criminology students visited Manchester Crown Court to witness some real life cases before taking part in a mock trial at @mmu_law A really beneficial day seeing legal settings in action to help inform their studies at OSFC!

On Wednesday, 4 students from our Debating Society took part in the Oldham Debating Competition. They prepared & presented debates on privacy in the digital age & whether populism is a threat to democracy. They event was enriching & developed their confidence in public speaking.

Last Thursday a group of English & Drama students watched a production of The Tempest at the Shakespeare North Playhouse in Prescott. The performance was an amazing opportunity for those studying the text to see it brought to life in an authentically styled Jacobean theatre.

A Level PE students recently visited Graystone Action Sports Centre. They took part in extreme sports to gain a greater insight into a psychology module they study at OSFC, specifically looking into how anxiety and confidence affect novice and professional sports performance.

Year 13 Digital T Level students are currently halfway through their 45 day placement! Completing an industry placement as part of all T Level courses gives students the chance to learn what a real career is like while continuing their studies. #TLevelWeek

Despite some very wet weather! Y12 Art & Design students enjoyed a day at @mcrartgallery last Friday. They completed drawing tasks & took pictures of the artwork they viewed, including textiles, paintings & sculptures. These will then be used to inform their own art projects.
