he was not expected to be anywhere near the title fight this year and he led the championship for over half the season. his time will come. but i don’t think it’s helpful to Only place blame and ignore the learning and growth he’ll take from sept & oct.

that’s all i wanted to say after having the day to think about things. he said after 2023 he would work on tyre management, and he fixed it. he said after 2024 he would work on his quali, and he fixed that too. i KNOW he will be stronger next year, and i can’t wait to watch.

i hold oscar to such a high standard in my head because we can clearly see just how good of a driver he is. i expect the best from him because i know he can compete with the best. he will come back from this season stronger and a better driver, and i cannot wait to see it.

A landmark year for Piastri. The championship leader and favourite for so much of the tour in just his third season. Could and arguably should have been champion. I do wonder how the net total of the receipts he will have kept on team decisions will influence his next steps.

again, i’m not absolving mcl for the times they cost him points this season with poor strategy decisions and management. but i think ignoring it completely is also delusional. as a fan, i know just how good he is and i know he’ll come back from this stronger and better.

i am incredibly proud of him for the season he did have, and i will ALWAYS support him, but when he is wdc, it will be because he’s learned from this specifically. and yes, it did 100% contribute to him losing this year, even if mcl cost him with bad strategy at times.

i’ve had all day to reflect and i just want to say one more thing. feel free to revoke my oscar fan card or whatever. while mcl absolutely made decisions that cost oscar points at times, you cannot look at this season and ignore his performance from baku - brazil.

i don’t know if it will be next year necessarily, but he WILL be back and he will be even stronger than he was this season.

you guys can call oscar a bum and hate on him all you want to cope but the fact is that everyone on the grid, and several former drivers and pundits who have been around motorsport for decades, rate him very highly. and that means more than people trying to ragebait on twitter.

I KEEP COMING BACK SORRY BUT. lando speaking about how much he‘s learned from oscar and saying he knows he’ll be a world champion. he sees all of the data and everything behind the scenes in extreme detail, but i’m supposed to believe twitter armchair experts? #OK
