Being familiar with her backstory, I feel awful for her. But what she did to our troops, that's a 100% deal-breaker for me. I've read many of THEIR backstories, and people like Jane did them great harm when they didn't have to. Opposing the war was one thing; doing photo ops

A couple years ago, I read a hit piece on Amy Peeler's book "Women and the Gender of God". Rather than jump on the bandwagon, I decided to read the book for myself. Probably the best take on the Incarnation. That alone makes it worth the price of admission.

Over 10 years ago, I first learned of Eternal Subordination of the Son (ESS). The first time I heard it presented, I smelled strange fire. Barrett, with Simply Trinity, takes that whole ESSclown brigade to task, while providing a great primer in Trinitarian theology.

@BethMooreLPM and @KSPrior : when it comes to character under pressure, you can't get much better than them.

Spurgeon, as far as I'm concerned, was/is the Gold Standard for preachers. Garland was my Gold Standard for pastors: one of the top Bible scholars in the world, yet very humble and pastoral.

In 1993, I bought an Inductive Study Bible. It was the best money I've ever spent. Inductive study isn't the same thing as hard exegesis, but it provides a solid framework with good guardrails.

Early in my post-collegiate days, I read The Pilgrim's Progress. I hadn't experienced all those stages that Christian did, but I would, short of that last walk through the dark river.

In college, I took philosophy class as an elective. The professor was also the Protestant chaplain. He got me hooked on C.S. Lewis and Dietrich Boenhoffer.

Corrie Ten Boom was my first major influencer: got to see The Hiding Place when I was in grade school. I also bought the book. I developed a fascination with Christians who fight the good fight against hostile regimes.

“A recent lawsuit claims leaders of Grace Community Church in Sun Valley, California, ignored repeated warnings about child sexual abuse and domestic violence and pressured a mother to keep her children in harm’s way.” The details are so disturbing.

Christmas Carol History: Hark! The Herald Angels Sing Few carols carry as much theological weight and sheer joy as this one. Charles Wesley wrote the original text in 1739, fresh after his conversion and bursting with a desire to help believers sing their doctrine with clarity

Very similar case to Eileen—so much so that when Eileen’s story came to light, that this young mother realized what was happening. A quote from her:
@neeva_walters This sounds so much like the Eileen Gray case. They don't learn. This church needs to die.

Jews didn't kill Jesus; from a theological standpoint, we all did. God gave us Jesus via the Jew. So every Christian should thank the Jews. Besides, they're the most badass people in the world. Gotta love their resilience.
🚨 "THE JEWS KILLED JESUS"? THAT'S STRAIGHT-UP DEMONIC NAZI PROPAGANDA.🔥 Hitler weaponized this LIE to rally "Christians" in Germany and slaughter 6 MILLION Jews. If you're spewing this garbage TODAY, you're echoing the Holocaust's playbook. OWN IT. WAKE UP: True faith

___ CANDACE OWENS DEBUNKED BY FORMER SPECIAL SERVICES ARMY GREEN BERET Thank you to @GBNT1952 for taking the time to sit down with me and explain/critique Candace's theories on Charlie Kirk, the Macrons, etc. This is part 2 of a multipart series I've started on Candace.
