As the American artistic swimmer Anita Alvarez fainted and sank toward the bottom of the pool at the world championships, her coach Andrea Fuentes made a split-second decision: She dove in to save her. Alvarez is doing "fine" now, her coach said.

@nytimes My friends niece has been fainting on the regular since second dose. They are running test to see what’s up and if they are small seizures. Very sad.

@nytimes Wow but you can not blame the lifeguards, they are watching the whole pool and the coach probably had eyes on Anita from the moment she started swimming.
