Saw this reposted by a colleague of mine and thought it was worth reposting here as well. This is the perspective from a current Juco baseball coach regarding the recruiting landscape we’re all dealing with now. Real facts. Real conversation.
The amount of rejection I have to do on a daily and yearly basis is disheartening. On average we’ll take 7 true freshman HS bats and 3 transfer bats a year, thats it. Between emails, camps, calls from coaches, advisors, and dm’s I get at minimum, 5-10 inquiries a day. Thats

2024 #uncommitted Catcher, Connor Wells @wellsconnor2024 plays a huge role in these outings! 6’0”, 180lbs. Very good receiver. Good catch and throw guy. Athletic body, beast in the weight room. Consistent 1.9-2.0 pops. Good RHH and is NOW back looking for a college opportunity!
Outing today at Emporia State, went 6.0 IP, 1 H, 1 BB, 0 R, 14 K’s. FB was 84-87, hit 88 four times. A lot of swing and miss stuff today with both FB and CB. S/O to @wellsconnor2024, been a stud behind the dish all summer. @MidwestBruins1
