Good & Plenty is believed to be the oldest candy brand in the US. The pink & white capsule-shaped chewy licorice was first made in 1893 in Philly. Are you a fan? I don't care for black licorice so I am not. I do like the fruit flavored ones that are like jelly beans. #PopCulture

@nostalgiapix25 Not a fan either. The reason there are plenty is because few people like them.

@nostalgiapix25 They were ok; licorice was good, the candy coating was sort of chalky & pasty. I always preferred Good 'n Fruity.

@nostalgiapix25 I asked for Good & Plenty at the movie theater last week and the counter person didn't know what it was. I might need to face facts. I'm an old fart now. 😟

@nostalgiapix25 Love it, can't eat it due to high blood pressure--licorice is not good to eat if one has trouble with that.

@nostalgiapix25 Real licorice is an acquired taste. It freshens the breath and isn't very sweet. Hence the candied sugar coating

@nostalgiapix25 @ELR360LIVE Ray: He separates his Good 'n Plenties into "goods" and "plenties." Which one is which again? Robert: Never mind. Ray: No, no, go ahead. Go ahead. Robert: The pinks are the "goods," and the whites are the "plenties." 'Cause there's always more of them."
