whats a card you thought was BUSTED when you first got into yugioh, only to find out its mid later?
when i was learning the game and found out this card existed, i slapped 3x this bad boy into EVERY deck i played. it made no sense to me that top decks werent using it lol

For me, it was any effect where you played a spell or tributed a monster to special summon a monster from the hand. I didn’t understand the concept of card advantage, and just assumed “special summon = good”

Back when I first started playing the game, I always used to play against a neighborhood friend out on our porch. We had a random assortment of cards with no strategy for a deck. While this is actually two cards, this was my favorite combo, and I thought this combo was broken. 😂

Scrap iron scarecrow and ego boost. I ruined many friend’s days with ego boost, but my friend destroyed me with scrap iron scarecrow in tzolkin turbo

Was 100% convinced this card was meta when I first read it. Idk if it even counts for this cause i'm sure it's good in slower play still but the idea of stopping most boss monsters in the game feels insane

Compulsory Evacuation Device! Way back in the day, in 2009, I was on Compulse because I was like ‘isn’t this just a removal spell?’ To be fair, it was actually good, but at the time it was below average.
