But I always knew what the point of that was, what the aim of each treatment was, what the expectations were. There are other things to contend with, and ongoing issues to address, of course, but I finally feel I am 'getting there'.

I could not, had I been a millionaire, have had better, more dedicated care. People have been so determined to make things better, and to solve several issues. I've, at times, felt like a bit of an experiment.

But today, since it also marks the week I was finally signed off from daily, then bidurnal, thrice weekly, twice weekly and weekly medical interventions, is the time to say "Thank you" to the marvellous NHS staff who have taken care of me so well.

Six months tomorrow since I was admitted to hospital with sepsis. It's been a long old haul but I am certainly in a much, much better place both physically and, if I'm honest, mentally. The help and good wishes I've gotten have been key, of course.

I can't believe what we are all witnessing on our tv screens from the US. While I don't particularly 'love' any country (I'm comfortable with my own), I've always been very fond of the US & its people. What I'm seeing now, I don't really recognise. It's awful.
