One rule everyone needs to adopt immediately: If it annoys you twice, fix it https://t.co/VE7aRaQ4jE Low agency people will think: "why should I fix it?". Did that cross your mind?

Bubble... What bubble?
YC F25 is absolutely insane 👀 To put this in perspective, when I went through YC in S19 I had one investor that sent me an email "Hey can I put in $10k? no meeting needed" This time around ... we already have $350k in "no meeting" SAFEs Haven't even taken a single call yet

I do my utmost to avoid Airbnb whenever possible. Hotel is easier, safer, cleaner, less admin and often cheaper. I only use Airbnb as a first choice for remote location getaways.
Curious to get people’s thoughts on why, after a blockbuster IPO and continued growth, Airbnb stock has performed so poorly over the past 5 years relative to other tech stocks

Last night, we officially launched “It’s About Tyme” at @ExclusiveBooks, in partnership with @PanMacmillanSA. It was a privilege to share the stage with my co-author, @brucebusiness, and to reflect on the incredible story of @tymebankza @gotymebank that starts with Coen Jonker

This can only be amazing if Rand built it!

If you're in a public place and you're watching something on your phone at full volume, you can bet your ass I'm leaning over and watching your screen too. If I can hear it, I'm watching it.

Action > Alignment. Alignment is corporate bullshit stopping the builders from building.
The worst word at Google HQ? "Aligned" 🤣 According to @ssamat, the quality of your product is inversely proportional to how "aligned" you say you are.

Social media has made people sad idiots. How screwed up is your sense of self that you need to get naked and take photos of yourself in a public restaurant shit house?
I had dinner at the fabulously new MILA Modern Greek restaurant in Sandhurst, Johannesburg. They have a strict no-picture policy. Upon arrival, you will be asked to please refrain from taking pictures while inside. Out of pure curiosity, I discussed the above with the

Or... Give people fewer fucking options.
Starbucks main AI use case is finding right sequence to serve 4 types of orders: counter, pick-up, delivery and drive-thru. Huge logistical challenge and why it spent $450m on a project (Siren System) to remake the bar layout. Starbucks makes $1B extra a year if each of its

Brave, smart and obvious move when you say it out loud: we'll build a better business when we focus on users who use our product.
This is one of my favorite charts at Buffer right now. It's the chart of our number of paying customers. And it might look like we've just experienced some awful churn, but that's not what it is. Those drops in number of paying customers are when we proactively cancelled

But now the large AI companies are motivated to identify, mark and block AI slop from their models. Which means identifying it will be possible for normies too.
Oxford researchers just confirmed what we feared: The internet as we knew it is dying. AI content went from ~5% in 2020 to 48% by May 2025. Projections say 90%+ by next year. Why? AI articles cost <$0.01. Human writers cost $10-100. But the real crisis is model collapse. When

Delegating thinking leads to cognitive bankruptcy. This applies to any AI tool.
The most important thing when you're working with coding agents: DO NOT DELEGATE YOUR THINKING Not only will this make for worse code, but the muscle you developed that makes you valuable in society, that you fought so hard to improve, will wither and die.
