This black man told the police he had eaten cocaine. Asked for medical treatment. Ask these white cops why they would not save him. These white cops stood there and did not provide him with CPR. They allow him to die. This is murder

This had nothing to do with "white" or "black" people. This was simply a problem faced by a rural community near Santa Marta, Colombia, which was addressed by the local authorities. https://t.co/xGaK44ksSe https://t.co/hQYZ1Q445V

This idiot from South Africa posting about kids in Colombia and blaming "white racists" in the replies. Anyway, the old bridge collapsed in 2022, and about 70 kids had to use an improvised rope system to cross the Rio Gaira to get to school. By 2024, a new bridge was built.

Finding based on an analysis of 5.5 million criminal records: Due to classification issues, Hispanic crime rates are underreported by ~20-30%. This mostly affects the white crime rate, which is overreported by ~4-6%, but the black rate is also overreported by ~1%.

White by Default? The viral posts were right. We scraped 5.5 million criminal records and 1.5 million mugshots from 39 states. 29% of Hispanics are being misclassified as White in official Department of Corrections databases. Even when Hispanic is explicitly classified 🧵

I haven’t seen much discussion of school type on the 2024 #NAEP. Maybe it's because no one made a chart! You can’t break out private schools because of the sample size but you can compare public vs charter vs Catholic. Result: Catholic students are 1 to 2 grade levels ahead.

At UCSD, consistently ranked a top 10 public university, one out of eight entering freshmen can't do middle school math. High school math grades were essentially meaningless (explained ~6% of placement results). 42% of the remedial group had completed precalculus or calculus!

NEW: UC San Diego has released a new report documenting a “steep decline in the academic preparedness” of its freshmen. The number of entering students needing remedial math has exploded from 1/100 to 1/8. They’ve had to create a second remedial class covering elementary and

The SNAP discussion highlights how little people understand about the program. This guy thinks raising the minimum wage would lift 23M workers off food stamps. But only ~230k adults on SNAP are working full time. Only ~900k work more than half-time.

Want to get Americans off SNAP? If the minimum wage had kept up with inflation and productivity, it would be $26 an hour, and that alone would lift 23 million workers off food stamps overnight.

Sanu clearly believes that history should be evaluated based on what appeals emotionally to him, and that all historical evidence should simply be tossed aside. In this thread, I'll provide just one example of a *well-documented* influence of Greek works.

The claim is that they started doing math “again” after they found some Greek texts. But why would Europeans lose the ability to think or invent anything for over 1000 years before their claim of “old Greek texts.” And these “Greek texts” they got from the Arabs. Simpler—they

The latest available data shows that 4.4% of SNAP participants are noncitizens. Probably higher now, because this data was collected from 10/2022 through 9/2023, only halfway through the Biden border surge.

The Economist this week. The formal level of US tariffs is low. But the psychological impact of Trump's tariff talk is having exactly its intended effect: ~30% of Canadian businesses are already shifting production/investments to the US or may do so soon. Beggar-thy-neighbor.

America is actually irredeemably racist and has an evil and disgusting history of colonialism and genocide and oppression. My only question though is why did black people build such a country? What made them do that while they were building it?
