The school to prison pipeline has more to do with what’s happening at home than in school. Removing a resource officer from the school solves nothing if no one is going to try to help these kids with often difficult home situations.

A conservative view: if the name change happens with a vote of the constituency affected? What’s the problem? Police officers out of schools? Probably not a bad idea. My one concern is future school violence or shootings.
Police reform? Long overdue. Let’s do it the right way.
