i want to add that im outraged on a human level because it shows the depth of the racism and hatred the DR has.
i couldnt care less what they choose to do. But didnt the last time they closed it they were begging to open it ? bc their economy depends on haitian consumers

I’m more terrified tbh. Just thinking of the lengths they’ll go to make sure no one who isn’t allowed to passes through, the environment devastation, the amount of resources that’ll either be used for the wall or destroyed in the process of its construction is making me nervous.
@naweworldwide
Building walls has always been a horrible instinct. It’s never been good—Great Wall of China, Berlin Wall, wall between Gaza and Israel, US-Mexico wall, and now this.
It’s a repulsive part of ourselves that is inclined to turn it’s back on our brother
@naweworldwide
What is wrong with this comment section?! Do we really lack so much humanity that we think that it’s ok to separate countries WITH A WALL?! La Republica Dominicana e sufrido mucho con su racismo. Los otros no somos mejores que Haití. Mejor será la unión. Que Haití se libre!
@naweworldwide
Again, the role of the victim? How do you tell us about racism where in your country there was a totally racist constitution. You don’t have the morals to talk to us about racism
