The Protect Utah Workers coalition sends a massive THANK YOU to the 5,000+ volunteers who gathered signatures and the Utahns who signed to put the HB 267 referendum on the ballot. 📸: Michael from Riverton, who personally gathered 300 signatures! See ya at the polls in Nov 2026.

“Utah’s public workers are ready,” @myuea said after the Lt. Gov. certified the referendum. “We are organized, energized and confident that voters will stand with us when the time comes.”

Gov. Spencer Cox signed an order placing the controversial HB267 on the ballot next year.

After the 3rd District Court ruled the Utah Fits All voucher program is unconstitutional, the UEA and other plaintiffs agreed to allow public funds already allocated under the voucher program to remain in place until the Utah Supreme Court issues a final ruling.
