Let’s listen to women. Most of the time, they mean well. And yes, not all women are saints—but neither are we. Our gender needs serious reflection. More often than not, we’re the problem. @drstellanyanzi may sound bad but she makes a point about the need for us to step up.

Some of us are successful today because our mothers *pushed* our fathers to provide. That same energy is what women are giving us now—to secure the future of the children. The next generation of men.

When we’re alone as men, let’s not shout about our power. Let’s talk about how to be responsible, how to grow, how to be men who show up for our families.

Let’s be real—many of us know if the women in our lives let go of us, we would crumble. They only cry and fight because we’ve messed up and won’t clean up.

Women are often voices of caution. We, as men, take unnecessary risks. We lose nothing by becoming more responsible. We lose a lot by refusing to grow. We need to reflect

Rather than telling men not to listen to women,we shld be encouraging each other to listen more.A lot of successful men are where they are bcoz of the women behind them.If women came out to share what they are doing for which a lot of men take credit,we would all go into hiding

We say some women are evil. But we are the ones who approach and choose them. So who is to blame? The chooser or the chosen? If you have a bad woman, YOU CHOOSE HER. You pursued her. So, first accept, that you failed on your due deligence part. Its on YOU

Instead of thumping our chests and saying “we are MEN”—we should be asking ourselves: how do we become *better* men? We should be meeting to say, since women are not around, lets be real with each, ‘Guys, this is a problem. We need to do better’.

We want multiple wives but silence from our partners. We father children with different women but don’t support them. Let’s not pretend. A lot of families are suffering because of our irresponsibility.

On the issue of “bad/evil” women—yes, some do manipulate and blackmail. But let’s be honest with ourselves: men have abused women for generations. And that doesnt mean men should be abused. No! But most of the violence starts or is triggered by us.

That means the idea of maintaining unchecked traditional male power is contested. Many men want old-school privileges *plus* the new expectations of modern women. That’s a big source of conflict. And it will remain so.

Today, women are just as educated and economically active as men. They no longer come into marriage to be just labourers. They come as partners.

A man’s wealth was inherited. The women provided labour. That’s how respect and power were earned. But that era is fading. We must accept this reality.

Traditional masculinity gave us the idea that we could do as we wanted. In the past, all a man needed was land from his father and women would follow. He didn’t even need to work hard.

You, my brother, always emphasize following traditional masculinity. That’s not necessarily a bad idea. But we must admit—it has its issues. I prefer we pursue positive masculinity.

My brother @GODFREY_Kutesa My thinking is that during the men’s meeting today, we should have been retreating—not crying about how women are “beating” us—but asking: how do we navigate this changing environment?
