If you run your own full-node, we recommend you to roll it back to v0.39.1 while a new release is under development. Once again, nothing happened to Hathor Network. This issue affected only 12 new transactions that were misplaced in the DAG, and it has already been solved.

The p2p network worked as expected and the consensus algorithm correctly voided these “invalid transactions”. This Wallet API is implemented in the hathor-core repository, and this issue exists only in v0.40.0. We will release a fix and a post mortem report soon.

Brief explanation: The /tx_parents API is used by wallets to set the parents and place new transactions inside the DAG. This issue was caused by a new version of this API that was returning voided parents, and it made consensus algorithms mark these new transactions as voided.

This issue was caused by an update in the Wallet API today at 13pm UTC. Our team has already rolled it back, all wallets are working fine, and only 12 transactions were affected. If your transaction has been voided and you need help, reach out to us in Telegram or Discord.
