This is a very helpful thread from @LuhmannAudrey, and worthy of your attention whatever your particular ACNA perspective.
On the 4th day of @The_ACNA's trial of Bp. Ruch, voila, an infographic appeared on the Trial Update page without announcement. See: .

Bizarre description of episcopal duties, brought to you by someone in the ACNA headquarters.
On the 4th day of @The_ACNA Bishop Ruch's trial, while there has been no update on the trial itself, the Province has posted a new document on its trial webpage. "A bishop's job is to lead the clergy of the diocese, not to oversee the activity of individual churches," it says.

@The_ACNA My wager is that the document is used by ACNA in the "baby bishop" school in which the new bishops are served the magic kool-aid. No wonder there are questions about what a bishop does. Anyone know the source or use of this document before now?.

The unseemly nature of the document, posted in the middle of an episcopal trial and clearly favoring the controversial interpretation offered by the defendant bishop, is either an effort to put a finger on the scale or gross incompetence. @The_ACNA , which is it?.

The Consecration Vows of an ACNA bishop are much broader than depicted in the ACNA governance post. From the BCP:
"If any lay leader is accused of misconduct, it is the responsibility of the parish priest to investigate and discipline the lay leader according to the local constitution and canons, alerting local authorities in cases of sexual and physical abuse, neglect, or exploitation."

Strange, controversial, and canonically unsupported document posted on the ACNA website. If this is the official view of episcopal governance in ACNA, why bother trying "+" Ruch and why have an episcopate at all? A Methodist Superintendent has more responsibility!.
"If any lay leader is accused of misconduct, it is the responsibility of the parish priest to investigate and discipline the lay leader according to the local constitution and canons, alerting local authorities in cases of sexual and physical abuse, neglect, or exploitation."

The Judicial Conference itself is an affront to the rule of law: secret rulemaking, no notice and comment, no publicly available digest of judicial policy and procedure. This could be fixed by statute, as the Conference itself is a creature of statute.

In anticipation of the much-vaunted "roll out" of the Title IV proposal for ecclesiastical discipline in ACNA coming soon, I will be sharing some questions to aid interested non-lawyer souls in evaluating the proposal's merits. I'll proceed chronologically. Here's #1: 1/.
