New paper out looking at the ecosystem services provided by cetacean stranded carcasses. They not only are "a great gift from Nature", but also invaluable resources for scavengers and crucial indicators of our oceans' health. @StirBES @MarcosMoleon1 @davemarinebio @strandings

Students asking for deadline extensions: please avoid using #ChatGPT to write such email. It adds a sad touch of irony to my day, knowing a robot understands your struggles better than you do!

As brilliant as the petrels and shearwaters are, I think the Great Black-backed Gulls are the most thrilling birds on Skokholm. This is where 'our' birds have been this last decade. Younger birds spend their time farthest from Skokholm, before gravitating back as they mature.

Did you know there are 270 species of bee in the UK? 🐝 Sadly they're under threat, with vital habitats disappearing across the UK. Why not plant some wild flowers today to give them a helping hand? #WorldBeeDay #SaveOurWildIsles
